Dave Burchett has been a very successful television sports director for thirty years. His experiences have included directing the Summer Olympic Games, professional and collegiate sports. Dave has directed Texas Rangers baseball for nearly 30 years and has collected a national Emmy and two local Emmys.
His first published book was the very successful When Bad Christians Happen to Good People. He followed that with an acclaimed book on church healing called Bring’em Back Alive. His latest book, Stay: Lessons My Dogs Taught Me about Life, Loss, and Grace, was published by Tyndale House Publishers in February '2015.
Dave has developed a speaking ministry as well as a weekly blog called the “iPod Devotionals” at Crosswalk’s popular culture site, theFish.com.
Dave is happily married to his bride of 35 years, Joni, and is the proud father of three grown sons who are all following Jesus.
