Jane Johnson is a wife and mother who is caught in the midst of a passionate love affair with the Word of God. By trade, she is a photographer, graphic designer, and writer. Filled with a passion to teach women of all ages how to study Scripture, she longs to leave a powerful legacy in the form of teachings taken from her prayer journals, detailing God's great mercy for the generations who follow her.
Jane came upon her writing accidentally, publishing the first blog post dedicated to her words less than a year after her best friend lost her battle with cancer, and just over seven years into her wait for a family - a season she affectionately refers to as delayed fertility. She needed a purpose to the pain. An understanding that someone out there would read her words and they would resonate. To know that she wasn't alone in her grief.
Every published word Jane produces is first hand-written in her prayer journals—a re-telling of the things God has spoken to her to both sustain and succour. Her writing is comprised of pieces of the story He has already written for her life, that she can turn around and pray it back to Him in faith, and then share it with the world. Jane’s lastest book, Mercy like Morning: Discovering Truth in Seasons of Waiting (Harvest House, October ‘2018), is a comprehensive guide providing step-by-step instructions to study Scripture intentionally, instead of randomly, learning to dig deeper and store up knowledge from the King.
Jane lives on Maui with her husband and long-awaited miracle baby boy, indulging in her love of year-round sunshine, palm trees and warm, tropical waters.
