Melissa Trevathan, MRE, first became a youth director at the age of sixteen. Since that time, she’s received her master’s degree from Southwestern Baptist Seminary and has been a teacher, retreat leader, head of spiritual life at a private school, and founded Daystar Counseling Ministries in 1985. Daystar is considered the most sought-after and respected counseling group for children, adolescents, and families in its community. She continues to act as executive director of the organization.
When Melissa is not listening, speaking, or writing, she’s usually playing with Blueberry, her Old English sheep-puppy, somewhere between Nashville and Kentucky.
