Christine Bailey is a dreamer and farmer, inviting others to join her in cultivating lives of beauty, simplicity, freedom and adventure, right where they are.
With her chef husband and two young daughters, she’s growing deep roots on their 17-acre Kindred Farm in the hills of Santa Fe, TN where they raise organic produce, flowers, and chickens, create artisan goods for their on-site farm store, and gather the community together for feasts under the stars at their seasonal Kindred Dinners.
Before beginning her farming journey, Christine worked in marketing and promotions in the Christian music industry in Nashville, helped start an Africa relief non-profit, and owned an organic produce co-op and urban farmstead with her family in Dallas until they moved back to Tennessee to begin their farming journey. Of all the things Christine ever thought she’d be, a farmer was never one of them. But to her surprise, she’s found a deep well of strength, joy, and more dirt under her fingernails than she ever thought possible while digging her hands into the soil of Kindred Farm.
Christine shares adventures and inspiration on her own website, as a contributing writer on The Art of Simple, and as a co-host of the Simple podcast with Tsh Oxenreider. She’s working on her first book: a full-color collection of stories, photos, and recipes that will invite readers to connect to their own Kindred Life.
She loves homeschooling her two wild and free daughters and will always say yes to ukulele-playing, waterfall-chasing, campfire-sitting, and eating ice cream on the roof under a country sky.
