Marc Alan Schelske

Ephesians 2:10 says that your life is God's artwork. That means you have a good and beautiful purpose. Marc Alan Schelske writes and speaks to help you find belonging, redemption & growth through a more intentional and engaged spiritual life.

Marc has served full-time in ministry for nineteen years, and is currently the full-time teaching elder at Bridge City Community Church in Portland, Oregon. There he bangs the drum for inside-out living and has the privilege of inviting people to learn how to do life with Jesus.

Marc is a husband, dad, muller, writer, and introvert with stage skills, who loves helping people find freedom, grace and a new sense of purpose in life. He's written and self-published Discovering Your Authentic Core Values: A Step-by-step Guide as well as the upcoming online course, Look, Listen, Live: How to read the Bible to Hear God and Grow without having to be a Legalist, a Theology Professor, or a Crackpot. Marc's first book with a traditional publisher is The Wisdom of Your Heart: Discovering the God-given Purpose and Power of your Emotions (David C. Cook, September 2017). He blogs regularly about the intentional spiritual life at

Marc is married to Christina and is the proud and overwhelmed dad of two exuberant elementary school kids. Marc's soul is recharged by reading, writing, cooking and making beautiful things. Oh, and riding his Vulcan Classic 800, when the roads are dry and the sun is out.
